Seeing Things Differently

Innovation is a community sport

These are the web-pages for various projects associated with Dr Ralph Highnam either directly or via various legal entities.

“Building a brighter future for Wellingtonians & the World through innovation, community & sport”

BREAST CANCER
RESEARCH

Breast cancer kills 600,000 women a year and causes all kinds of other issues for families around the world. I’ve been doing academic & commercial research in breast cancer since 1989 and have been very fortunate to have worked with some amazing people, especially around breast density - what it is, how to measure it, and how to use it.

Join Our
Communities

I have been lucky to be part of some amazing communities over the years, these have given me confidence, knowledge and the ability to drive innovation in many fields.

Wellington has fantastic science institutes, tech people and investors, but we operate in isolated worlds. WellyForge is creating a new ecosystem to get Wellington firing again.

We’re on a mission to try and ensure breast cancer researchers, especially in New Zealand, are aware of as much breast cancer AI research as possible, with some of our international friends.

Sport is a great community builder and I have played and watched football for many years. Click to learn more about some of the active communities I’m involved in today.

Appropriate and respectful development, yes!

Read more about Westbourne Grove Owners & Neighbours (WAGON) and the push for “affordable and sustainable” housing.

We invest into various start-ups with a focus on Wellington-based and doing good for the world.

We’re also working up ideas for WellyEarlyAngels, to try and get more start-ups off the ground - contact us for info.
